The EPA and USGS co-sponsor a very useful site called National Environmental Methods Index (NEMI).
This site allows you to search by analyte name, code (CAS* number) or
method number, and the search can be limited to those approved under
various drinking water or wastewater regulations. In addition, many
methods can be read or downloaded directly as pdf files.
